Brantford Pride Day 2019

15 June 2019 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Mohawk Park
Glenwood Drive, Brantford, Ontario

Sorry, not going to make it to the Pride March or festivities today. I’ve got a summer cold, and don’t want to infect anyone else.

Join us for the 8th Annual Walk with Pride where we will be paying tribute to the Stonewall Riots of 1969 with the theme 50 Year’s of Pride: Honouring our Roots & Resistance.

Together, we will walk from Grand River Community Health Centre (363 Colborne Street, Brantford) to Mohawk Park. Allies are welcome to join us to show their support. We ask any off duty police to please not wear their uniforms but hope you will still walk.

Grab your flags and paint Brantford a Rainbow with us!!! The walk will begin at 12 noon and will last approximately an hour.

Accessibility concerns: there will be transportation driving behind the walk for those who would like to utilize it. For those who are walking, there will be water provided half way through the walk.

Bathrooms at Grand River will be available prior to the walk.

Next, enjoy Pride in the Park for the rest of the afternoon! From 1PM-5PM Brantford Pride will provide an afternoon full of music, games, food and friends. This will be Brantford Pride’s 7th Annual Pride in the Park! The event will have amazing vendors, a free BBQ, resource fair, family friendly activities and wonderful performers.

We look forward to seeing you for a full day of events!

A dance will take place later in the night. Check out the Brantford Pride Facebook page for more information.

The land that Brantford Pride organizes on is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee and Neutral Nations. We strive to build a community where decolonization and reconciliation are priorities!
