Legion Hall
524 Belmont Avenue West, Kitchener, Ontario

Planning mental health concert: Community and horses!

Yenny writes:
It’s growing and coming together. I’m pretty thrilled right now. I reached out to Jesse (friend and booking agent), and he is getting bands onboard to come to event! So far Burnaby have confirmed.

Fundraising for Can Praxis:

While the Canadian Forces uses team building, communications training and leadership development to prepare soldiers for war, Can Praxis uses horses to help soldiers recover from it and regain their family relationships.

We are also showing a few documentaries highlighting the equine and mental health:

* A Pony & His Boy
A boy born with Down’s Syndrome whose life is changed when he gets involved with a pony.

* Silent Comrade
About vets and equine therapy. It is beautifully made.

* Mustang Saviours
Veterans with PTSD working together with former wild horses.

On stage:

* Melanie Crawford
Who will speak on mental health and sing.

* Burnaby
Burnaby is a group of four friends from KW Ontario who love making music together.

* There will be karaoke

* And we will have DJs after bands.

With support from:
* Pride Stables, as a Pony & His Boy very much is their fit.
