Sharon Sommerville and I (Co-chairs for the Fair Vote Canada Waterloo Region Chapter) have been asked to make a guest lecture at Wilfrid Laurier University:
My hope for a guest lecturer is to illustrate some of the course’s themes with concrete, “real life,” and current examples. How does FVC pursue its objectives? Does it try to gain the attention of decision makers in government? How does it try to raise awareness of the issue (i.e., public opinion)? Does it have some media strategy so that electoral reform remains in the news? We look at these sorts of things. I list these to give some ideas, as the guest speaker can focus on any angle they wish, but the idea is to show how FVC operates to advance its goals.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Andrea M.L. Perrella, Ph.D.
