Join us as Deputy Minister Janet Menard discusses why we need new approaches to social policy and the importance of leadership in helping us get there.

About Janet Menard

Janet Menard joined the Ministry of Community and Social Services in 2015 with more than 30 years of experience in the field of human services, including progressive roles with Metropolitan Toronto, Halton Region, and the Region of Peel.

Positions in Peel include Director of Ontario Works, Executive Director, Transition and Integration, Director Housing Policy and Programs, and Commissioner of Human Services.

Her areas of focus in both her professional and volunteer commitments include organizational transformation, collaborative management strategies to deliver and integrate human services and creating opportunities for people to reach their potential.

Janet’s academic credentials include both human services and broader management studies at the University of Waterloo (Renison), York University, the Schulich School of Business (Toronto), Queen’s University, Ryerson, and Centennial College.
